CHRPLT - The Treeseeker

  • Aurevald’s story
  • Originally belonging to a tribe of Goliaths known as The Treeseekers, he was captured after a severe storm separated him from his family. These men sold him into slavery in The Paradisian Coast where he was eventually freed by Morgyn.
  • Aurevald has been hearing whispers; which he interprets to be the natural spirits of the world, telling him to “Find the tree” - leading him to travel back North in hopes of finding his family for answers.
    • By engaging with the entity, and using its powers - he is granted a Maul known as “Slaver’s Bane” which when wielded appears to made out of solid ice.
  • The tree in question is tree that his tribe mistakenly damaged during a conflict - releasing some of the restraints on an elder entity lurking below Otheria - the resting place of the last Primordial Titan - now known as Husk Titan.
    • Aurevalds tribe were originally encouraged to protect the tree but drifted from their mission as the changing elements and tribe politics took them far away from it where it was forgotten by all but their few mystics/elders.
  • Aurevald has unknowingly made a deal with Husk Titan as they both seek “freedom” - granting him a Warlock pact with this entity.
  • Aurevald has shirked the pact he made with The Husk at great cost to himself.

Forced Introduction:

“You… Born of Fire… Raised by the Wind… Matured on the Sea… And now you explore the Earth. You are one with the natural spirits, are you not?

I am Rootkeeper Drahn; a… tenant of these woods. It is my job to tend to sacred sites and protect the natural beauty of this place.”

Opinion on “Natural Beauty”:

“I think your friend over there (points to Graxious) and I would disagree on what is in fact ‘beautiful’. In nature, you cannot find beauty where there has not been brutality. Nature is both beautiful, brutal, and neither all at the same time - that is it’s true beauty.”

Parting advice:

“Freedom is many things; but trading a cruel master for a benevolent one, it is not.”
