The Settlement
Summary
Section titled “Summary”Vaelorys was founded by the Divine Beings who created Mortal life in their own images. Many modern religions and practices have their origins in this time period.
It is said that Elves and Dwarves were the first species created; followed shortly by other species like Humans and Gnomes.
Events
Section titled “Events ”- The Divine Beings; led be the Elder Original God Of Death, arrive at a planet raging with chaotic elemental energy.
- The Elder God taught his brethren how to sculpt and tame the world around them and eventually about the concepts of Life and Death - claiming the latter for themself whilst dividing the former amongst the others.
- The Gods would use this power to create Mortal life in their own image and watched as they began to adapt and control their surroundings; the Original God Of Death comforted those whose creations didn’t follow their intended path and encouraged them to keep trying.
This planet; whilst tame compared to it’s discovered state, still proved extremely dangerous for Mortals, who frequently died well before they were supposed to. To combat this; the Gods began to imbue a sliver of their Magic within Mortals - leading to the first recorded uses of Divine Magic.
Lascyan also created the first Dragons in his and his sister; Avaracia’s, image to protect a large collection of defenceless Mortals and the world knew an extended period of piece for the first time.
The origins of Vaelorys’s name come from the original Dragons - Vaelya and Za’Korys. The Elder One; now comfortably considered the “God Of Death”, could see their work nearing completion.
Mortal civilization blossomed under this new age of protection and larger cities with huge monuments to their creators were constructed - the largest of which was known as Lex’Emplitus.
