The Fracture

Following The Settlement era; a sudden and unknown event sows unrest between the Gods and awakens the Primordial Titans who drew power from the Four Elemental Planes.

A war occurs between the Illchor; a faction led by Sinderys, The Hell-Spawn King and aligned with the Primordial Titans, and the Archon; the remaining Divine Beings who wished to protect their Mortal creations.

  • One day, Original God Of Death calls their brethren together and expresses a great sorrow as they must now depart as their job has been completed and their time has come. They vanish from existence leaving the other Gods to grieve.
  • A faction of the Gods; led by Sinderys, struggle to accept and process this loss and band together in their grief, planning an attempt to revive The Elder One.
  • The ritual angers the Primordial Titans and they manifest; attacking Mortal civilizations in retaliation.
  • The other Gods learn of Sinderys and his faction’s goal and admonish their thoughtless actions. Feeling betrayed by their family who do not seem to understand their pain; the Illchor join the Primordial Titans assault - wiping Vaelorys clear for a second attempt.
  • The Titans and Illchor work together to destroy the three major Mortal cities.
  • Archon debate how to aid their creations against the titans and their brethren. Whymselon eventually acts of their own accord and teaches mortals how to use Arcane Magic.
  • Za’Korys and some of his ilk of Dragons are corrupted by the natural power of the elements and defect against Vaelya - causing the split between Chromatic Dragons and Metalic Dragons.
  • Mortals miraculously survive the assault - quelling the Primordial Titan and spreading their essence across the landscape of Vaelorys whilst the Archon manage to seal the Illchor into individual prison planes away from the Material Plane.
