Cindrethrax
Summary
Section titled βSummaryβThe Seeker had been wandering the cosmos in search of an answer; but to what question has been lost - or was maybe never known at all.
Cindrethrax; originally known as The Seeker, is an astral being that descended upon the Feywild when he was unknowingly called by the dance of Sophira, The Springdancer (The Moonβs Sister) after being gravely injured in a previous encounter. Sophira was able to temporarily heal the worst of them and offered him shelter in the Eastern Feywild. As thanks, he used his powers to create the moon of Cynthe from the spirit of Cynthaea - the deceased Lunar Beast of Sophiraβs sister; Selenephoe. She thanked him by creating Cinderβs Den and placing him into a slumber that would eventually heal all his wounds.
He slumbered for years before a tribe of Fey discovered him and accidentally awoke him. Still unable to move due to his injuries, he offered many of them magical powers in return for food; especially a knowledgeable man named Zarsh. The Seeker took a liking to Zarsh and accepted the name Cindrethrax from him as a sign of respect; as well as the Feyβs offer to find a cure for the latterβs injuries.
Centuries later - Cindrethrax became jaded and cold as his tribe were slowly whittled away in mysterious ways, and his injuries were yet to heal. When all hope seemed lost - as just Zarsh and Cindrethrax remained - Zarsh was able to synthesize a cure and proceeded to administer it.
The cure initially worked - as Cindrethrax could stand tall and open his eyes for the first time in centuries, only to feel his strength fade again - sucked into Zarsh. Zarsh revealed that he was the one who had slain their tribe - taking the magic granted to each of them by Cindrethrax for himself. The research to cure the injuries was a guise to learn the entitiesβ weaknesses. With enough power collected - he was able to break his pact with Cindrethrax and become an Archfey - taking the name Zarkadyne The Thorn.
The struggle ended in a stalemate as Cindrethrax used his remaining power to seal Zarkadyne The Thorn within the pocket dimension inside of Cindrethrax himself - placing a Lycanthropic curse on him for breaking his pact.
