Dragon

Dragons are large scaled, winged creatures of great power and might. They live for a long time on any Mortal scale and prove to be some of Vaelorysโ€™ wisest, most knowledgeable, and most powerful beings.

Dragons were the creation of Lascyan in his own image and then that of his Sister; Avaracia, during the The Settlement of Vaelorys.

Vaelya and Zaโ€™Korys were the first Dragons and served as protectors of Mortal civilization. Before long; Zaelyo and Vaโ€™Korya were born to the two of them.

It is said that Lascyan designed Vaelya to be a shield for Mortals whilst Zaโ€™Korys would become their sword.

As history played out; they would later be granted the titles Vaelya, The End of The Beginning; marking her as a clear shift in the Gods thought pattern, and Zaโ€™Korys, The Beginning of The End; labelling him as the first major sign of the incoming destruction that would soon affect Mortals and Vaelorys.

During The Fracture; Zaโ€™Korys was corrupted by the raw power of the Primordial Titans - defecting to join the side of the Illchor.

Chromatic Dragons are those of the ilk as Zaโ€™Korys and typically covet one of five elemental powers. They are largely self-serving creatures known for their identifiably non-reflective, and brightly coloured scales.

Common sub-types include Red, Black, Blue, Green, and White. There have been records of other types of Chromatic Dragon but they are few and far between.

Chromatic Dragons typically worship Avaracia and see her as their Queen.

Metallic Dragons are those of the ilk as Vaelya and typically avoid combat where possible. They are largely reclusive creatures known for their highly reflective and metallic scales.

Common sub-types include Gold, Silver, Bronze, Copper, and Brass. There have been records of other types of Metallic Dragon but they are few and far between.

Metallic Dragon typically worship Lascyan and see him as their leader.

Dragon blood has highly magical properties and has been shown throughout history to improve Spell craft, Potion brewing, and other Magical procedures.

Some Mortals have sought the power of Draconic Blood for themselves and through a variety of means; combined it with their own - leading to various physical and mental changes that would become the progenesis of the Dragonborn and Kobold species.
