Shadesorrow Forest

Summary

The Shadesorrow Forest is a large, densely forested region to the South West of Terick. It’s thick covering allows it to remain quite dark at all hours of the day - during Night it is very difficult to see anything at all for those without Darkvision.

There are rumours that criminals and gangs use the woods as their basis of operation and that many nefarious and dangerous creatures call it their home. Whilst travel through the woods has become significantly easier following the deforestation of the central path, a guide is still recommended for all but the bravest adventurers.

There is a fork in the path that leads towards Ponderton if followed carefully.

Things of Interest

• Owlbear Den
  • Located in the North Eastern side of the forest
  • DEFEATED IN SESSION 3
• Portal to the Shadowfell
  • Located on the South Western side of the forest
  • Typically broken unless the party arrive during a full moon - last Gormark of each Month.
• A Drow Witch’s Hut
  • Laera Nyr is a Drow mage who resides in the South Western side of the Forest. She seemingly has evil intent related to the portal
  • She has runes around her hut that can summon various elementals.
• The Snatchers Base
  • Located in the North West of the forest, it is built into the underground component of a ruins in the forest. Drethos had visited the ruins after originally leaving Elysia and returned here as it was a secluded base of operations.
