Roan
Summary
Section titled “Summary”Roan was originally a castle built during the first century Post-Departure. It is believed that it was named after Sir Roan - a pious knight who served during the final years of The Cataclysm. However, it was claimed as the seat of the Vaena Kingdom; during the conquest of the lands by Terick Vaena, whilst a new capital city was built in Terick’s East.
By 920 PD, Roan had long been usurped as the capital by Zenytha, and is now a bustling city built within and around the long standing castle walls. It is a centralised locale for trade and procurement of services for the other towns in what is now called Lower Terick.

Roan was but a small, nameless, remote village nearby to no water and with no good land for crops. That was until one day when a man from afar named Sir Roan - with obvious piety - arrived and called out the gods for help. It is unclear who; or which, heard his call but the ground to the East began reform into the small plateau that exists today. The cavity it left behind was filled with clean water that proved to be endless.
Sir Roan was chosen as the namesake and it’s leader for this miracle and he proved instrumental in the soon-to-be city’s development in the early days of The Departure. He stayed in power until Terick Vaena claimed the city as the seat for the Vaena Kingdom in 101 PD.
